The UMBC men and women cross country teams traveled to Princeton, N.J., to compete in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships. The mens team improved on their 19th place finish from a season ago, and finished 17th overall. The men were led by Sophomore Paul Zwama who finished 42nd overall with a time of 33:48. Behind Zwama was Sophomore Michael Christmas who finished 84th overall. Rounding out the scoring for the Retrievers was Senior Andrew Madison placing 94th, Sophomore Chris Bowie and Senior Josh Okoniewski. The women also competed at the Regional Championships, but they did not have a complete team
